The Ross-on-Wye Golf Club is proud to promote junior golf with a fantastic setup offering many stages of membership.
The Ross-on-Wye Junior Academy membership is a basic entry membership that offers entry to coaching from the Tim Hall School Of Golf as well as access to the golf course. The Academy membership provides a superb starting block with coaching and competitions to develop a promising golfing career. Included in the membership is playing rights on the golf course but after specific times throughout the year. Playing on the course is a vital segment of golf development as it provides the player with a visual objective and end goal.
The Academy offers the juniors a section in which they can play competitive golf week in week out through 9 hole competitions. This introduction is fun and friendly but retains a competitive edge that will stand the junior golfers in good stead for the future.
For the more developed junior golfer, the club offers full junior membership which provides more opportunity to progress. The full membership is the natural progression from Academy membership and offers full access to the golf course and practice facilities with no restrictions throughout the year.
The full junior membership is broken down into three separate categories based on age. The first category is for under 13 years of age, the second category is for 13 to 15 years and finally the last category is for 16 to 18 years of age.
The incremental junior membership was an important introduction for the golf club and the Tim Hall School Of Golf. By encouraging junior golfers to be a part of a very active and forward thinking section, the golf club and School Of Golf aim to coach, develop an retain the golfers of the future.
